Less than two weeks left before The Big Game, people!  We usually host a party and it’s always such a fun time.

For our party set-up, I paired grass green with black and white stripes, and pulled out some of the football-themed serving dishes I have.  Then I hit Walmart.com for most of my decor items, and ordered everything using their store pickup service.  If you’re not familiar with it, you order and pay online, and then when all of the items have arrived at the store, you go straight to the pick up desk and they’re waiting for you.  It saves so much time, you have access to items that might not be in your Walmart, and they do all the work for you.

Shopping list:

Candy/cupcake cups

Striped cocktail napkins

Striped paper cups

Striped dessert plates

Emerald green plastic tablecloth

Football field paper food trays

Football snack cups

Football confetti

Black striped paper straws

Football piñata

Black striped candy bags

You can order many food items this way, too, but I usually just shop in the store:

I also picked up some snacks and the ingredients to make the best sausage dip in the history of the world (thanks to Amy for giving me the recipe a decade ago–I’ll be sharing it below).

I set up my food table with the green tablecloth layered with black and white striped wrapping paper (I already had this on hand).  Then I scattered the football confetti on top of everything.

The referee stripe paper goods were cute all on their own, but I also added a few of these “Touchdown” printable stickers that I created.

Print them on 2″ round stickers, or on white card stock and cut them out using a craft punch.  They work on the cups, straws, candy bags, or on toothpicks as cupcake picks.

Then I filled glass apothecary jars with the SNICKERS and Skittles.  The candy/cupcake cups work great to hold individual servings, and of course we stuffed the piñata with lots of sweet treats, too, for a halftime activity.

See the tiny vintage Pepsi bottles?  Those were salt and pepper shakers from my grandmother and they are OLD.  I used to drink Pepsi from them when I was a kid!

The striped paper bags are great to hold treats-to-go, cookies, or piñata loot.

We paired ice-cold soda with the striped paper straws.

And don’t you just love those football hot dog trays?  They were such a hit!

We served the TOSTITOS in the paper football field trays, and guests could either dip into the TOSTITOS salsa or the sausage dip.

We scooped both the sausage dip and the salsa into the candy/cupcake cups and they were perfect for individual servings, so guests could sit with a tray and watch the game.

As promised, here’s the sausage dip recipe; it is absolutely amazing and one of our family’s favorites.

And in case you were wondering about our “Rufferee,” Harley loves a party and doesn’t mind dressing for the occasion, especially if there are hot dogs involved!
