Chinet-collage Spring is almost here! I can see the bulbs pushing through the ground just in time for Easter and this change in season has given me fresh ideas for two very special parties I’ve been dreaming up during the past wintery month. I’ve been busy pinning a ton of these party ideas on Pinterest, but if my pins are not enough inspiration for you, check out this awesome board by the Chinet® brand here. The first event I am planning is right around the corner (next week to be exact) – Atlas’ first birthday! I am not sure how this happened; it seems like yesterday we were bringing him home from the hospital and now we are celebrating this milestone. My, how time flies. The second event I am planning is an Easter brunch for my sister and her family. Her two beautiful daughters (my nieces) are around the same age as my two oldest boys, so it will be a lot of fun and I am really looking forward to spending this special day with her and her family. Easter is after the date of Atlas’ party so I decided to save time by merging some of the ideas from his king-themed birthday with my Easter Brunch. I have to say, Easter bunnies and golden crowns really do complement one another perfectly. I’ve got my Easter table set and my brunch menu planned; now I just have to wait for my sister and her family to arrive. My sister and I live far apart so we don’t get many holidays together. When she is here, or I am there, we really try to enjoy every minute together. I love to entertain but I don’t want to waste any quality time with family fussing over clean up. Thankfully the Chinet® brand now offers a stylish line of Chinet® Cut Crystal® premium disposable tableware. Chinet® Cut Crystal® tableware includes plates, cups and cutlery. There is no need to break out the fine china or silver this Easter with Chinet® Cut Crystal® tableware’s stylish and unique swirl pattern. The crystal clear design really matches perfectly with my formal Easter tablescape which is filled with light blues, silvers, golds and white. An added bonus of using Chinet® Cut Crystal® tableware for my Easter brunch is not having to spend one minute worrying about clean up; my focus can instead be on my family and not on a sink full of dishes. Check out the new Chinet® Cut Crystal® line below as well as my Easter tablescape. Lastly, I have included my yummy brunch menu and a few awesome recipes. Happy Easter!!

I’ve never HAD a perfectly coordinated anything! The closest I can get is using white dinnerwear with one of the few solid color tablecloths I have … and then use white paper napkins.

I actually do not strive for coordination when entertaining, when it comes to setting the table; I like mismatched napkins, bowls, plates, goblets, etc., if find it more interesting to look at. I do like coordination when trying to get the food on the table at the same time so everyone can eat at the same time at the table.

I try to make them perfectly coordinated with a lot of planning, referring to Pinterest, friends suggestions and a lot of shopping! Its often challenging but I like to think I pull it off. Disposable tableware makes things much easier because I can always co ordinate to achieve the look I want!

I love to set up the day before so that I can get a visual on how it will look. Then I tweak as needed. But I love throwing in something unique, quirky, and unexpected. Last Easter my daughter’s stuffed bunny held the deviled egg tray hostage.

Lots of doilies, ribbon and I let the grandchildren fill up the helium balloons with long ribbons…for fun and to fill the ceiling with color. The kids always want to hang mini lights around the room so that the balloon colors glow through. Mostly, they want to play and go home with them. As long as there is alot of homemade chocolate and eggs in the tiered cupcake holders everyone is happy.

I take the easy way out and let the Party Story lead the way. They always have coordinating decorations, plates, cups and more. Sometimes, I mix and match with similar designs, just to give it a little bit of a personal touch 🙂

I do not strive for coordination when entertaining. I have been known to use Halloween napkins at Easter, because the Halloween napkins were on clearance! My sister, on the other hand, made a very cute table presentation with cheap opaque glasses bought at the dollar store, and added tall decorations and flowers to make cute vases.
