I’ve been wanting to share the last two AirBnB’s we’ve stayed at–as you know, if we find a good one I like to pass along the information for those of you who might need a recommendation. These two are in very different locations–Washington, DC, and Huntsville, AL, but they’re both worth keeping on your list if your travels take you in those directions.
This first listing is our new go-to location when we head to DC to visit our daughter. She’s a student at Georgetown University and this little English basement apartment is within walking distance of campus.
Visit the listing for this apartment here.
This apartment is absolutely darling–it’s a two-bedroom, two-bathroom unit that sleeps up to six (if you use the daybed with trundle in the living room). The hosts have thought of literally every detail and it’s probably my #1 favorite AirBnB of all time–and you guys know that I’ve stayed in A LOT of them all around the world!
I asked the owners if we could book for graduation weekend in two years–apparently that’s a little too far out for them, but I’m going to try back in a year or so!

Now, I’ll show you a few photos from the cute little house we stayed in when we first got to Huntsville:
We were looking for room to spread out–and a pet friendly location, and this 3 bedroom, 2.5 bath detached house fit the bill.
A good-sized kitchen was also a must.
The three bedrooms are upstairs and there’s also a second living space upstairs as well…we really enjoyed the comfortable couch.
All photos are from the AirBnB listing.
The hosts were very responsive and friendly at both locations, and I’d highly recommend either if your travels take to you to DC or Huntsville.
Thanks for stopping by~

Thanks for the tips! They both look lovely.
Welcome back stateside, btw! Apologies if I missed it before, but how did you end up deciding on Huntsville as your newest settling place? Is it short long-term or long long-term?

Been a follower for a few years! I live near Huntsville and will be happy to tell you the best thrift stores! 😀 Hope you’ll visit our little town, Tuscumbia, birthplace of Helen Keller and next door to Muscle Shoals- home of ALL the great music. Check out the documentary “Muscle Shoals “ on most all streaming channels! Welcome to Sweet Home Alabama! And learn to say “ROLL TIDE!”
