She found the bowls at Home Goods, but I haven’t been able to find any like them in the months since. So, when I was in Target a few weeks ago, I found these cute little dip bowls in their kitchen aisle (where all of the white, open stock dishes are). You can also batch order them online; I’ve linked to all of them below.
They tend to go in and out of stock, so I’m also linking to other options below!
Footed white bowl available here
(if the footed 6 oz bowl is sold out, then these are a great substitute. I’ve also seen them at Harris-Teeter and Kroger for less, if you have those grocery stores near you)
They’re only $1.99 each (plus 5% off if you have that Red Card!), and they have a couple of other styles in case you want something that’s a bit more modern or even square:
Additional bowl options online that I’ve used are here:
Obviously, these little dishes didn’t have the gold rim that Amy’s bowls have, so I headed to the craft store and bought a gold metallic, oil-based paint pen:
It was so easy just to add the gold rim to the bowls, and I love the small size of these little dip bowls–perfect for rings next to the sink or to hold paper clips on my desk.
I added the round gold monogram using my Silhouette CAMEO. It measures 1.25″ in diameter, and if you have a vinyl cutter, you can use my tutorial on how to create your own round monograms {here}. The best gold vinyl I’ve ever used is {here}; select “gold metallic” as the color. If you don’t have a vinyl cutter, than you can buy them in our Etsy shop {here} :).
You can tell that I’m going into major production right now–we’re getting in to the holiday season and this is going to be one of my teacher gifts for Christmas (but shhh! Don’t tell!).
A special shout out to our friend Amy at AR Interiors; she took our idea and used the gold paint marker on an oval dish from World Market which gave me the idea to do the same thing on these little Target bowls. I’m going to see if a gold rim on the bottom of the footed bowl looks good, next.
