I decided it would be fun to conduct a “scientific” test to see which flavor of SHEBA® cat food is his favorite. Hey, science fair season is coming up and anything that we can turn into an experiment, we do, especially when it involves our pets! So, I pulled out four different entrees: Salmon Pate, Chicken Pate, Turkey Pate, and Tuna Cuts. All SHEBA® Patés are made with meat first recipes – using real beef, poultry, or seafood as the first ingredient. This is a big deal in our house as we ALWAYS buy premium pet foods for our animals (my husband says that the animals eat better than we do, and he just might be right!). And, all SHEBA® recipes are formulated without grains, corn, gluten, artificial flavors or preservatives. That’s another really important fact when you have pets who have issues with allergies or food sensitivities, like we do.
I lined up all four cans in a row on the counter (Yes, the counter. I know it’s gross, but it’s easier to take photos on the counter than on the floor!). I had to put Tinker outside while I prepared four plates of food because he thought this was a fabulous idea and wanted to get right to work on sampling the yummies. He only weighs six pounds now, but I swear he eats his weight every day! When I opened the door and let him in, he started with the three pates and just went to town. The Chicken Pate Entree was devoured first, then the Turkey Entree, and then the Salmon Entree. He ate the Tuna Cuts Entree after that, and particularly enjoyed the gravy, but I think for a fellow who’s over a hundred years old in people years, the smooth, soft texture of the pate is really his favorite.

This is hysterical and exactly the kind of thing my brothers and I would have done when we were kids!
Gotta love these old kitties.
The game my kids have played with our old cat is how many cheese it’s can you place on the sleeping cat and not wake him up. The record is 24 so far. You do have to keep the dogs out of the room because they like to help with the clean up. 😉

Too funny–our dogs would love to help with a project like that, too!

Rest assured that all cats jump on counters whether we want them to or not! It’s a losing battle.
Tinker does the same thing our kitty does, loves to eat out of the can. What is it with the can? I scoop the food into a pretty small plate with a raised edge so the food stays in the plate and doesn’t go over the edge when eating. But, where do I find her eating from, the CAN. Then she licks all the gravy off the top. Drives me crazy! Wish they they’d make just gravy for cats. Think it would be a winner.
Enjoy Tinker, he’s precious. Glad he had a grand ol’ time with Sheba.

Gravy for cats would ROCK! I do the same thing with a nice plate/dish, but he doesn’t seem to appreciate my efforts. 🙂
