I found a lamp that I loved (at HomeGoods):
It’s kind of an eclectic mix, but it all seems to work. Really, unless you get rid of everything and just start from scratch (and who can afford to do that?!), everyone’s houses are an eclectic mix. I happen to think that makes them more interesting.
I have to admit that my favorite “corner” so far is this one:
I sit on the couch in the morning with my coffee to read my devotion, and I think there are JUST THE RIGHT NUMBER OF PILLOWS on the couch (that was for my husband, by the way…he still thinks there are too many. As if!)!
I added the gold monogram to the coral lumbar pillow. You can buy one like it in our Etsy shop.
Today, I started the makeover on the chair that’s been languishing in my garage since April. She is going to be gorgeous when she’s done.
Here’s the before:
I think that “she” is going to get a new paint job like my gray chair {here}, instead of being reupholstered like my loveseat {here}. I haven’t painted velvet before, and I hear that it takes the paint more easily and is softer when finished. Stay tuned, since you know I’ll let you know exactly how it works out! (Update: see the “after” of the gold chair here)
