Hello 11 Magnolia Lane readers! I’m Sarah from Life On Virginia Street and I’m so excited to be here today for the 11 Magnolia Lane Holiday Open House party! I have loved reading every post so far and I’m excited for those upcoming on the tour!
Today I wanted to share a peek into our home all dressed up for Christmas!
This year, I opted to decorate with traditional Christmas colors and also threw in a lot of plaid and a lot of deer! However, we are traveling this year for the holidays, so I didn’t go overboard in any one room. I wanted to be able to return home and not dread a several day tear-down process. Sometimes, simplicity wins!
In the entryway, I kept things simple by hanging some garland and adding a festive pillow to our regular decor.
Walking down the hallway, I added a large canvas with the Doxology printed on it and added a nativity scene and ‘O Holy Night’ print to the console table. I hung two lighted wreaths on the doors that lead to our courtyard for a little added holiday sparkle at night! White lights just make my heart go pitter patter!
The dining room decor was fairly simple as well. I pulled out an old rug from storage, added a plaid table runner and made a simple centerpiece for the table with greenery and ornaments. A few accessories later on the barcart and buffet table, as well as a boxwood wreath on the mirror, and I called it done!
We placed the Christmas tree in my office. You can see in this room, I veered away from the traditional red and green and stuck with our usual blue and green decor scheme. The office is the only room on our main level with a street-facing window, and I love nothing more than seeing the glow of our tree when I pull up to our house after a long day at work!
I would love for you to stop by my blog to check out my full Christmas Tour! Not only am I sharing some more photos and additional spaces in our home, but I have sources for a lot of items listed for those interested. Thanks again to the lovely ladies of 11 Magnolia Lane for having me over and I hope you all have a wonderful Christmas!
