Welcome to the final day of the 2018 Holiday Home Tour, Christy began our tour last Monday, and I am wrapping it up today showing off our holiday decor. We moved into this home this summer, after beginning the building process last fall, so being able to live here and enjoy the holidays is extra special for our family this year.

That means that decorating the home this year was even more fun. It’s always a little bit of extra work to figure out the decor in a new home, but not at all a bad problem to have! I love this time of year, and absolutely love decorating for the holidays. Welcome to our home, for those of you coming from Julie’s gorgeous home at Less Than Perfect Life of Bliss you saw that she is a hard act to follow! She’s one of our favorite friends we’ve made in blogland so I forgive her for that 🙂 she has the loveliest decor at any time of year but especially at the holidays.
The showpiece on our new front porch is the Majestic Magnolia wreath from Lynch Creek Farms. I wanted something beautiful for our door this year, and there is nothing like a fresh wreath. I love the touch of magnolia leaves it has, I swapped out the red bow the wreath came with for my own neutral bow (I felt like it clashed with our blue door) but either one is beautiful.
The lanterns came from HomeGoods (similar here) and I use them both inside and outside our home. I am hosting a holiday women’s event for our church in a few weeks, so I wanted the outside of our home to feel extra inviting. We’re having a Favorite Things party, it will be so much fun!
A funny note about my vintage sled I have on my porch…I purchased it last year at the Lucketts holiday market. While I realized it is covered by the greenery in the photo, it has the name “Amy” markered on it, obviously done by a little girl who shares my name, many years ago. I figured it was meant to be mine! I wanted to paint the sled to spruce it up, but can’t stand to cover her name up.
Come on inside! Our front hallway has already had a few iterations of decor, but I envisioned our holiday decor turning out just like this when I redid this console table earlier this fall.
I plan to add a large gold mirror to this wall in the near future, but for now I love this hoop wreath (found at HomeGoods, as was the tabletop decor) attached on my Magnolia frame (similar HERE).
Across the foyer is my home office. I decided to put our flocked tree in here this year because these windows face the street. I love having a lit tree that shows through at night during the holidays, and I get the added benefit of enjoying the tree while I work in here during the day. Not to mention, it gave me an excuse to decorate a tree in blush pink and gold to match the decor!

The tree came from here, and the blush pink velvet tree skirt was another HomeGoods find this year. I kept the rest of the decor fairly simple and let the tree stand on its own.
Moving on to our main living area, this is where we spend most of our time.
We added a new tree this year to our main living area, a new house needs a new tree, right? Now that we’ve gotten away from having real trees (too much mess), I wanted to make an investment in one that would fit perfectly in this room. I selected the 9′ Prince Flocked Tree available here. I chose to add my own lights, which is a bit of work up front, but it allowed me to add as many as I wanted.
For what is our main family Christmas tree, I went with a pale blue, silver and champagne color scheme. The large pale blue ornaments were a new addition to my collection from the Inspire Me Home Decor collection and I love the statement they make on the tree.
I kept our stairs fairly simple and just used section of the cedar garland I have outside (it came from Wegmans, our local grocery store, they have amazing greenery this year) on our stairs attached with some bows. My daughter carried these bells (below) when she was a flower girl in her uncle’s Christmas wedding years ago, they are the perfect stairway decor and we love getting them out every year.
You saw our kitchen as part of the holiday kitchen tour last week, the full post is here.
That wraps up our tour, but I’ll be back on Thursday to show you more of our bedroom and my daughter’s new room (her room makeover is finished!) but here is a sneak peek. This is the first time I have decorated our bedroom, and I have to say it’s really a nice part of the holiday.

From here, please continue to tour at Quarters One. Shand is another military spouse (along with Christy and our tour guest, Heather) so we are thrilled she is joining us and sharing her beautiful decor!
