Germ-Busting With Clorox Disinfecting Wipes

The holidays were so busy this year that I found it impossible to keep up with my cleaning schedule. We’ve also had some crazy weather here in VA, so my kids have been stuck indoors for the past few weeks, which always seem to bring all my chores to a screaming halt. To top it all off, my poor kids have been sick on and off with all the nasty viruses and bugs the winter months bring. I feel like we have been stuck inside a germ-infested house for the past month and I am ready for spring!
To free myself from the “stuck inside blues”, I needed a plan. Last week I began my new cleaning schedule. Having a schedule helps me gain control over my household chores and motivates me. The schedule suggests doing 15 minute “mini cleans” throughout the day. I love this “mini clean” concept but with my 9-month-old baby in tow, it isn’t always easy to maneuver him, a spray bottle and a roll of paper towels even for that short amount of time. I’ve considered using baby wipes but they are not a disinfectant and, especially during cough and cold season, disinfecting is an important part of my cleaning routine. These wipes are amazing! They are so convenient and don’t require a spray bottle; all you have to do is grab a wipe and begin cleaning. These wipes clean and disinfect at the same time. They kill up to 99.9% of germs including viruses that cause colds and flu and are also effective against bacteria like Staph, Salmonella and E. Coli. Since they are disposable, the wipes don’t spread bacteria like sponges and rags can do. Clorox Disinfecting Wipes have a unique drying formula so you can use them on multiple surfaces including: glass, mirrors and metal. You can clean your entire house with these wipes and it is amazing how much you can clean in 15 minutes when you have everything you need in one container. Thanks to Clorox Disinfecting Wipes, I have been on a germ-busting mission this past week. I have used them to clean my counters, my bathroom, the baby’s high chair, doorknobs, windows, toys and electronics. Honestly, I have used these wipes to clean just about everything inside my home and inside my car. (Please don’t forget your car; I had no idea just how dirty mine was!) I am looking forward to continuing my cleaning regimen in the New Year as well as keeping my kids and family healthy with the help of Clorox Disinfecting Wipes.

To help prevent colds and flu I like to take zinc and vitamin c, and just keep my hands clean. Staying out of large crowds and help greatly, if you can do this.

Handwashing for at LEAST 30 seconds!! Extra Vitamin C and A. Keeping hands away from face (nose, mouth and eyes particularly). Cleaning doorknobs, faucets, etc with germ-busting ingredients.

We try to avoid busy shopping days and heavy crowds. We also try to stay away from sick people as much as possible, and we use hand sanitizer in the car & everywhere else we go, and then of course everybody washes their hands when we come home. I also have my 8 & 9 year old daughters going around the house once a week wiping down the remotes, light switches, doorknobs, telephone and anything else they can think of with Clorox wipes.

I take Clorox Wipes every time we travel and stay in hotels…as soon as we check in, I get out the wipes and wipe everything down from the door knobs to the light switches, every where people place their hands…and even the hair dryer!…and the room always smells so fresh when i am finished!…

I am a huge germaphobe, we wash hands constantly, use hand sanitizer/wipes while out. anything that can be washed in the dishwasher does and in between those washes I wipe toys and such down with Clorox wipes or spray them down with Clorox anywhere! I am not a fan of germs!!!

I’m mostly a homebody, yet I was sick back to back last year, with everything from strep throat and sinus infections to the common cold and flu. It’s common knowledge to disinfect and wash hands regularly, but most don’t mention the doors, carts, and items that we touch while we’re out in the stores. No telling who is sick and have touched these things. This is how we’re mostly introduced to others’ germs. Some of us might even go somewhere to eat after we’re done shopping, yet haven’t washed our hands beforehand. So, that’s why I now bring hand sanitizer with me. I also wash, wash, wash my hands while in public, especially before I eat something. 🙂
