I’ve kept my fall decorating minimal this year; we’ve been so busy that I haven’t done as much as I usually do. I’m going to do more, especially since we’re hosting Thanksgiving, but I’ve decided just to do it at my own pace and not stress about what I “should” be doing.
I mixed metals on the table with copper, gold, and silver:
Candles: HomeGoods | Greek Key Pillow | Drapes | Candlesticks: Tiffany
On my to-do list for this week is lighting the pilot light so we can warm up next to the fire; one of my favorite parts of fall!
Basket | Pitchers: Vintage | Throw: IKEA | Tassel: Hobby Lobby

I changed out my throw pillows for ones that have a fall palette.
Lamp, Bust, Apothecary Jar: HomeGoods | Sofa | B&W Pillow: IKEA
As soon as my lilies are done, I’ll replace them with some pumpkins and dried hydrangeas, but for now I’m enjoying their fragrance. They were the flower I used in my wedding bouquet, and my husband bought them for me for my birthday.
And yes, I know I need to cover my chandelier chain; I don’t cut the wire to fit each house anymore since we take them along when we move. That saves me from having to possibly re-wire it when I need a longer wire and chain, but means that I’m always left with extra slack to cover.
Chandelier: Ballard | Table & Chairs
You can see my huge vintage dough bowl in the niche above the front door; it’s filled with dried hydrangeas.
Dough Bowl: Vintage | Orange, Lime, & Butterfly Pillows: HomeGoods
Here’s a shot from the second floor:
I usually put candy corn in an apothecary jar sometimes in September or October. Yes, the kids eat it, but not as quickly as you’d think!
Anemone: HobbyLobby | Velvet Pumpkin & Tray: Michael’s | Officer’s Guide: Vintage
The living room is huge and so I probably won’t paint it (it would require scaffolding), but the warm gold color is starting to grow on me, and it does work with my furniture.
Cane Chairs | Burlap Runner: Kirkland’s
I’ll be showing more photos of the kitchen later this week, but here it is with its new paint job (BM Edgecombe Grey).
Copper Lanterns | Bar Stools | Black Bench: HomeGoods | Recliner
I hope you have a beautiful day; thanks for stopping by!
