Today we were invited to share our “Cozy Home” with you along with some blogging friends, so I took a few photos to show you the fall touches in our home. You can see what Christy did in her apartment, which she already shared, here. You can see all the other blogs sharing their homes at the links below, we are thrilled to be included!
I feel like last year I went all out for Fall (maybe because we were still stuck at home then?) and this year, my motivation was a little less. I was happy to participate in this tour because making our home cozy seemed more appealing to me than adding a whole bunch of fall decor all over the place! This year I was inclined to keep things a bit more simple.
I have been adding pumpkins and mums here and there, and these awesome baskets were just what I have been looking for on our porch. They are resin, so they hold up to the elements and not as expensive as the other outdoor baskets I have found. As soon as the mums wither (which they do in Virginia pretty early) I’m hoping to fill the baskets with spring blooming bulbs (I hope that will work?). Though they would also look great with fir trees at the holidays first.
Moving inside, I simply added some fall pillows for texture and warmth and sprinkled in a few pumpkins here and there. My pillows are linked below.

I also added some cozy fall touches in our kitchen and breakfast room. I am finishing up the cabinets along the back wall so part of this room is still a bit of a mess right now. While all that has been going on we have been using the bar cart for serving. I also added some fall touches to the open shelving above the cart.
The kitchen just got a few warm touches like favorite cookbooks, dried hydrangeas and some warmer wood tones.
Kitchen sources are below (you can see our recent kitchen updates here)~
