As promised I am back today to show you another room in our new home that I decorated using the Flower by Drew Barrymore line that recently launched at Wal-mart. Seriously, Wal-mart! This is a fabulous collaboration, Drew is quite the designer. I really love the vibrant, retro vibe of the entire collection.
After I finished putting together our Girls’ Teen Hangout Area in our loft (see it here if you missed it), I liked the bath accessories in the Flower by Drew Barrymore line so much that I decided to pick some up to add a little style to our upstairs bathroom.
My son and daughter share this bath, so the decor needed to work for both of them. The fun palm print was perfect for both a boy and a girl, and some wood touches brought in a little warmth to the room. When we designed the house I selected a gray ceramic floor tile that would be indestructible and a classic white subway with gray grout for the tub surround, so those coordinate well with anything but can sometimes feel a little cold.
My daughter loves the palm patterned curtains we put in the loft so much, she suggested we add another set in the bath to double as a shower curtain. I think they look great, we still have a plastic liner hanging behind them so the shower is still functional. There are several fun shower curtains to select from in the Flower line, like this purple batik (which my son did not approve of, but we loved) and this yellow palm pattern that is very similar to the green.
I ordered this towel set for the kids too, it releases May 15th so I can’t show them to you in the bath yet but for $26 these are a great value and the white and green will be perfect in here.
We also added this fun wood circle shelf to the wall. It can hold and overflow of soaps, or plants; it fits the space perfectly. My boys both remarked how much they liked it, which is unusual, typically they wouldn’t even notice something like a shelf so they really must like it!
I got my daughter these pretty cut glass bath accessories for her side of the sink. Since she likes to complain about having to share the bathroom with a messy boy, hopefully this feminine touch will minimize her pain 🙂 These are so pretty and come in green as well. Below are all the bath accessories available in the Flower line.
I love that I was able to make another room fun for a small budget. It’s easy to overlook a kids’ bathroom but with just a few new items I feel like the room now looks pulled together. As I mentioned in my last post, all the items I have purchased have been really nice quality as well as being very affordable.
You can see the entire Drew Barrymore Flower Home collection here and I linked some of my very favorite items below. I am sure you will find some wonderful and fun new things for your home and still stay on a budget. Don’t forget you get free shipping over $35 so you can shop in the comfort of your own home too, that’s always a win!

Thank you for the review of some of these new products, I was wondering what the quality would be like. I’m loving Walmart’s furniture selection as well. They have some fabulous dining and occasional chairs that look designer but without the price tag–I plan to purchase several pieces for our new home since we’re on a tight decorating budget!
