How’s that for alliteration in the title?!

We’re stopping in today with a couple of quick announcements. First, if you’ve been reading for awhile you know that both Amy and I have Amazon Prime, absolutely love it, and highly recommend it. I have no doubt that I make the $99 annual fee back within a few months since I’m not constantly adding one more thing to my order to score the free Super Saver Shipping!  And, of course, there are other reasons to subscribe besides the free two-day shipping.  Amy wrote about Prime {here} and the Subscribe and Save program {here} if you want to learn more.

So, the reason I’m mentioning Amazon Prime again today is because if you are a member, you will want to mark your calendars for July 15th, which happens to be Amazon’s birthday.  They’re offering a ton of super deals (they say it will be better than Black Friday) but only for Prime members.  The exclusive deals are in a variety of areas– from electronics, toys, video games, movies, clothing, patio, lawn and garden, sports and outdoor items and more.  I have a bunch of back to school shopping still to do, so I am going to be all over this.

Amazon is perfectly fine with you signing up for a free 30-day trial of Prime just so you can score these deals, so be sure to do it ahead of time so you’re ready when the time comes!  To learn more or sign up, you can click on the photo above or {here}, and if you don’t love Prime, just cancel within 30 days–easy.  I think you’ll find it’s worth it, though!

And in other news, Amy is posting over at Mohawk’s Creative Home blog on getting your house ready for a staycation and she has lots of beautiful ideas that you’ll want to read (and pin).

I’m super-excited because Amy is coming to my new house next week for a quick overnight, and then we’re continuing down to Atlanta for the Haven Conference together.  Since I haven’t seen her since February (far too long), I can’t wait.

  1. My daughter uses Amazon Prime and loves it! I think I saw this “birthday” sale on TV but thanks for the reminder! I’m going to try it and I feel sure I’ll have one more addiction…like lamps, monograms, etc. 🙂 Gotta hop over and see Amy’s post ~ the photo here is gorgeous! So glad you two are going to have some time together ~ enjoy.

  3. More of a question, but I do LOVE your blog!!! Any information you can offer on the pillowcases in your “Staycation” blog? I just love them :)))

    Thanks so much!

    • Thank you, Kathi! Yes, those shams of Amy’s are dreamy. They’re from Ballard Designs and they’re by Suzanne Kasler; just look up Greek key shams on their site and you should find them.
