Hi everyone, it’s Jen from StyleHouseInteriors I’m so excited to be here at 11 MAGNOLIA LANE today! We just recently had our first big snowstorms of the season so I’m really feeling the Christmas spirit! As I type this, I am enjoying some Christmas music, drinking hot chocolate, and watching the snow fall. I took a few photos so you can enjoy it with me.
Welcome to our home!
We are just coming out of a two day storm and the kids got to stay home Monday because of it. They played in the snow, drank hot cocoa and made gingerbread houses. It’s been a perfect winter week so far! Here’s a glimpse of our winter wonderland:
Our view looking up the street
Looking out off our deck
Our porch all decked out for Christmas
My youngest is such a good sport to help me out!
You can see more of my previous tour [HERE]
You can tour my office and see how I decorated this tree [HERE]
and you can see more of my entry way and details [HERE]
I love the black and gold, I had planned on keeping my decor neutral this year, but bits of red started creeping in and I love it! It started with the addition of my poinsettias, you can read why I surround myself with them every year [HERE]
I love flocked trees, even more so now that everything outside is covered in snow! To save space in here this year, I purchased a 7.5 ft tree and put it in one of my favorite outdoor planters for height.
Our family room, dining room, and kitchen are all joined together. I continued the theme of white with pops of red throughout the space.
I love this photo taken of my little guy helping me bake.
My laundry room got a little cheer as well!
I haven’t shown much of my basement on any of my tours yet so we’ll head down there now.
We recently installed the shiplap wall and industrial shelves, this is the first time I’ve had a chance to decorate them.
Here’s a closer view of the shelves:
On the other side of the room we have a lot of large windows which I love. You’re probably thinking it doesn’t seem like a basement right? Trust me, it is. Our lot drops quite a bit from front to back, so we have a full walkout basement. The ceilings are ten ft. so our windows are quite tall.
This is the one tree that I keep mostly the same every year, it has my kids’ baby ornaments on it and a few that we’ve had almost the entire time we’ve been married.
Thank you so much Amy and Christy for letting me share my home with you and your readers today! I hope your Holiday season is filled with Love, Laughter, Peace, and Joy!
XOXO
Jen
