From the Archives–Mother’s Day Printable

I wanted to share another one of our “oldies but goodies,” from the archives here at 11 Magnolia Lane.  Mother’s Day is on May 12th this year, so it’s time to get your acts together!  This printable quote that Amy designed would look gorgeous in a thrift store frame, and would be perfect for your mom!  Thanks for stopping by–Christy

Helen Keller Quote

Mother’s Day always seems to sneak up on me, its always SO busy the first week of May. I thought I would offer a little help to all of you in the same position. I have loved this small sign my Mother has had in her house for years. I decided to re-create it and post it as a quick printable. So, all you need to do is just print it (I use light colored scrapbook paper) and slide into a pretty frame.

To me, this quote exemplifies the true meaning of “Motherhood.”

Valentine’s Printables

I am starting to set my mind on Valentine’s Day. With three little ones all needing to show up at school with something for each classmate, I have learned the hard way to NOT try to do it ALL the night before!

Here is a sampling of some of our past projects. The printable file is under the image. Enjoy!

The printable below I originally designed for Mother’s Day, but I saw it going around Pinterest for Valentine’s Day. It would be a lovely and easy gift for someone special. I just printed it right on scrapbook paper with a light pattern, trimmed it down and framed it.

Free Inspirational Printables for Runners

Remember when I posted my master bedroom with the office sitting area a few weeks ago? You can see the entire room remake {Here} . Well, I showed this picture of my treadmill and my “running corner,” where I have a hook that holds my race medals and a couple of inspirational Bible verses about running.

Amy promised to make a printable of these two Bible verses (Hebrews 12:1-2, and 1 Corinthians 9:24), and here they are (and they’re way cuter than the ones I made!!):

Click below to download and print the pdf file:

Or, just download the jpg images above and below.  The one above will print two 5x7s, or if you trim off the blue striping, they’ll be 4×6′s and you can trim them and place them on whatever background you like.

I’ll be running the Rock and Roll Half Marathon in Nashville this weekend–for the fourth time because I’m a glutton for punishment–so I’ll have these verses running (pun intended!) through my head for sure!

Keep your eyes on the prize, and thanks for stopping by!

Thanksgiving Table & Give Thanks Printable

Thanksgiving is right around the corner, and usually by now I would be selecting recipes and making shopping lists but this year, I am getting off easy. No, I am not going elsewhere just having a smaller celebration then usual, and keeping it simple. But, Christy has a big celebration going in Tennessee this year so I can’t wait to see what she does.

Since I am not doing the whole “do” this year, I thought I would re-post my table from last year. You can read that post HERE. Our blog was young then so most reader’s probably haven’t seen it. {Chris Neese from Celebration’s at Home actually featured my tablescape on her Facebook page on Thanksgiving, so nice of her!} And, I added a few more pictures to the mix here for those who have seen it.

I made the place cards and the “give thanks” cards to decorate the placesettings by printing on craft paper and then writing over it with a colored sharpie. I am attaching the “Give Thanks” cards as a printable at the end if you would like to make them for yourself.

Hydrangeas from my garden, I love that color they get in the fall.

Look familiar? This candleabra is always in use at one of my parties, somehow or another!

A printable sign I made, printed on Ivory cardstock then backed with brown paper and framed.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Here are the “Give Thanks” cards table cards I added to the center of each placesetting. Simply print them out and use them as is, or if you use a darker paper you can write over the “Thanks” in the color you prefer.  You could also have guests write on these what they are thankful for, or make a “Thankful” Tree out of them…the ideas are endless!

Enjoy your holiday, and be sure to click to enter our giveaway for a set of green & red polkadot holiday pillows.  Aren’t they are awesome?  (GIVEAWAY CLOSED)

Pumpkin White Chocolate Chip Cookies

Yum! I don’t bake often, and I admit I am really not that good at it. I prefer cooking to baking, probably because baking requires more precision which is not my natural way.

But this recipe is SO good, and the perfect cookie to enjoy on a brisk fall day. I got this recipe out of my (former) neighborhood cookbook, from my good friend Debi.

I distinctly remember about a year ago (probably the last time I baked cookies) her son was at my house and the boys were enjoying whatever cookie I had just made. Her son informed me my freshly baked cookie was “good” but “not as good as his mom’s pumpkin white chocolate chip cookies”. I didn’t forget that, he definitely raised the bar–or at least piqued my curiosity to see just how good those cookies really were.

So, when I found I had the recipe in this fabulous cookbook my neighbors had joined together to make a few years back, I had to try it. I think that her son was right on, these are really good! Just be warned, the recipe makes enough to share.

The cookie ingredients you will need

Ingredients

2 c butter (softened)
2 c sugar
1 16 oz can pumpkin
2 eggs
4 c flour
1 T pumpkin pie spice
1 t baking powder
1/2 t baking soda
1 bag white chocolate chips

Frosting

1 can cream cheese frosting
1/4c brown sugar

Heat oven to 375.
Stir together flour, baking soda, baking powder and pumpkin pie spice,  set aside.
Beat butter and sugar until fluffy. Add pumpkin & eggs beat until smooth.
Slowly add the flour mixture to the bowl. Beat medium speed until blended.
Stir in chips.
Baked on greased cookie sheet 12-14 minutes.

fresh from the oven, just waiting to be frosted.

While cookies are baking, mix frosting with the brown sugar. Spread on cookies when warm.
Enjoy!

Yum!

And….here is the printable version for your cookbook!

Easter Bunny Tag Printable

Printable Easter Bunny Tags

I know I promised Raspberry Martini Recipe–and its coming!  I meant to post it for you Saturday so in case anyone wanted to “shake” some up that night, but our lives have been thrown into total chaos as we had to have our kitchen floor tile completely pulled out and replaced in the last 3 days. Needless to say, I am a little behind from having no access to my kitchen, not to mention totally surrounded by an inch of tile dust! But, my new tile is gorgeous so its well worth it even if I only get to enjoy it until my house sells…

So, since its coming up on Easter Week and for everyone getting ready to send in treats to school or having a celebration, here is a cute little tag you can use. Just print off and cut out (either with scissors or a 3″ round punch) and attach to goodie bags or little Easter baskets.

These were the cutest "carrot" goodie bags, I hope I can find them again.

Just click for your FREE Easter Bag Tags Printable!

(please do become a follower if you download our goodies, we like to know who is using them!)

And please enjoy the blessings of the Easter season.

{and stay tuned, I promise the Martini Recipe IS coming…}
