Hi everyone, I am so excited to be joining up with 30 other decor bloggers to show off our Fall homes with you all today as part of the Fall Home Tour hosted by A Stroll Thru Life. For those of you coming over from Vel’s house at Life & Home at 2102, isn’t her style amazing? I am struggling a bit with the idea that summer is over and suddenly we’re all about pumpkins and cozy throws but apparently the time has come–or it will be here very shortly!

Since our home is decorated in mostly neutrals, it is easy to swap our summer decor for fall-ish accessories–I just pull out the cozy throws, textured pillows, velvet pumpkins and of course, a few candles, and mix in some natural fall florals.

Our summer decor was comprised mostly of bright pops of blue, and when I went to transition our home to Fall, I realized I wasn’t quite over my blue infatuation just yet. I decided that while orange and burgundy may be the traditional go-to fall colors, but this year I was going to keep blue in the mix–some way or some how!

I felt validated when I came across blue velvet pumpkins, and of course they had to come home with me. Little velvet pumpkins, they have my heart 🙂 I may have bought every one I could find in gray, blue, cream or navy.

Another reason I wanted to incorporate some blue is I just picked up this rug at HomeGoods, and I love how it looks layered in this room. I will probably move it upstairs to our master bedroom at some point, the colors are so pretty, it’s hard to decide where I like it best.

Our kitchen got a few fall touches as well, I always change out my open shelves seasonally and autumn is no exception. These shelves were an easy DIY that fill in an empty nook in our kitchen. I keep them decorated with our overflow white dishes, antique silver and of course, seasonal touches.

Isn’t the “Gather” sign cute? It’s perfect for this time of year. {It is available HERE}

Also in the kitchen, I couldn’t resist decorating my three-tiered stand. This is another household item that is fun to fill up with little seasonal touches.

A three tiered stand filled with pretty, rustic fall decor is an easy seasonal kitchen accessory.

Our dining room is probably our most traditional room because it has my grandmother’s antique chest and a corner cabinet my parents passed down to my husband and me as a wedding present.  I love the rich, dark wood tones at this time of year. For as much as I am comfortable staying within white and bright decor, these two pieces have, up until this point, somehow escaped being painted.

I started off thinking I would style this room with one of my usual color palates like black, white and gold or mix up the usual fall neutrals when I suddenly had a vision of a slate blue and steel gray color scheme in here. I don’t know why that color combination appealed to me so much, but with the pale gray walls in this room, it all seemed to come together, and again I was able to keep using blue 🙂

I collected my mercury glass pumpkins and candlesticks, mixed in some silver chargers and added some dark gray napkins I found at HomeGoods.

Of course, I had to use tiny white pumpkins (always a favorite) and the velvet pumpkin pretties on the table, I have to say I love how this space turned out. The colors mix well together, and I think it still feels fall-ish but in an unexpected way.

I love the pops of blue, I might even have to incorporate this silver/blue combo again at the holidays…not to get ahead or anything 🙂

I added some wheat sheaves from HomeGoods which I gathered with a silver satin ribbon and placed  on  top of the antique chest. I mixed in a framed print and filled up the large clamshell with some fall pine cones and such. Even with all the traditional elements, I think the leopard rug keeps things from getting too serious in here.

Since we recently redecorated our Library with a darker moody gray, I had to throw a bit of fall into this room too. Here I went with darker colors because that seems to be the ongoing theme in this space, so I added copper and warm jewel tones to blend.

I added some flowers with some seasonal greens and fresh plums to pull in some purple, I am not much of a flower arranger but I like how it came out.
