Hello! Welcome to our Holiday Home. We are so glad you are here!

This is our first Holiday in this home, which always brings some new decorating challenges, but we are looking forward to many years here which made it easier to invest in some new holiday decor.

Just some simple decor in the front hall, it is a very small area under the stairs, so not much is needed. {shell is available here}

I love my large shell, its been perfect to hold a random assortment of ornaments. I like them so much they may stay up until Easter!

Just to the right of the Hall is our Library. This room is currently black and white with pops of green and animal prints mixed in, so I carried that into my holiday decor this year. Just for fun.

This room holds “my” tree, each year I decorate this tree however I want–we have another “family” tree in our main living room with all the colored lights and handmade kids’ ornaments you could ever need. This tree is mine; for the first time this year I broke from my “white” tree decor to some fun black, gold and leopard.

I think it’s fun, my husband not so much. “Black is not a Christmas color” I have been told.

My Christmas present came early and I couldn’t wait until the 25th to open it. I have long hoped to own a Lindsay Letters canvas, and after much deliberation {they are all fabulous}, I settled on the Doxology canvas. I went back and forth between the “Oh Holy Night” as it’s my favorite Christmas carol and that one in red would have been fabulous, but the Doxology I can use after the Holidays, so in the end it won out. I adore it.

I am planning a fireplace makeover very soon–that red brick is making me crazy, though if it’s ever going to work, I suppose it is OK during the holidays. {update: see it here!}

I keep my Family Room decor nuetral, and am working in rotating in seasonal colors. Obviously, for this time of year, it is red.

Our new console got spruced up with some green and silver decor.

We store our children’s Christmas books {we have been collecting them for years} on the bottom shelf, a random aside is that this is the best book ever about Santa Claus, it tells in detail how he works, builds toys, covers the world in one night– complete with diagrams– my kids love it and probably “believed” for several years longer thanks to this wonderful book.

Between the family room and kitchen, our “Bar” area is ready for holiday entertaining. The “Joyeux Noel” plate was a lucky Luckett’s find during the holidays last year.

I haven’t decorated too much in our kitchen, but on whim I added a fresh garland over my Breakfast Room windows.

I wasn’t sure if I’d love it, but I truly do. It looked plain in there before, and now looks so festive. I plan to hang our Christmas cards on it next to the windows, though having moved so much nobody knows where to find us this year!

The whole room looks much more in the “spirit” now, and since this is the view from the Kitchen where I spend many, many hours, it makes me happy.

I finished off the room with a little chalkboard and my attempt at some chalkboard art.
