There is no shortage of organizing binder printables and posts about home organizing binders in “blogland.”  I have read many and tried a few. Eventually, I wound up developing a collection of printables suited to the way I like to organize– simple and clean. I don’t like over-cluttered, or busy graphics, I just want something pretty to write on when I plan my day.

Once I created a “household” binder, I quickly became completely dependent on keeping everything together in it.  This system works perfectly with our printed calendar pad {above}, the binder goes right along with it and is a single place for all my kids’ papers, household lists and schedules all in one place.

I recently refreshed and updated the interior of my binder {you can see how it was below}. I simply used these dividers, and my $10 awesome labeler.

projects printable

I use this “projects” printable to keep my never-ending lists of projects going…house, kids, school–this one works for everything.

Right up front in my binder is my ongoing “Things To Do” list, I generally do them monthly and cross tasks off as I complete them.

Here is my Menu Planning Page.  I have looked at all the different “Menus” out there it seems and this works for me.  I have all the days listed out and then I can assign a meal to each day.  I don’t follow my meals/days perfectly, changing things up for nights when things are busy, but at least I know I have shopped for enough meals each week. It works for me, and it’s pretty simple without being too rigid.

The Shopping Printable goes right along with menu planning, or you could also use it to keep track of all your errands.

recipes to try

I keep an ongoing “Recipes to Try” list so when I am browsing a cookbook I can write down the ones I want to try. Then the next time I need something to cook–I just check this list. I am a big Barefoot Contessa fan, so I just went through Foolproof the other night and picked a few to try over the next few weeks. I am also cooking my way through this cookbook and haven’t had a “what’s for dinner” issue in forever!

party plan

Finally, just for fun, here is my party planning printable. It’s a great tool to quickly organize a a party or an event. I also have found that keeping these sheets from previous events helps to plan new events since I have a track record of all my menus and shopping lists. It’s included for free with this organizing package.

business cards

Keeping the lists in the binder is such a great tool–when I need ideas I just look back to see what I made other months and am inspired! You can find great binders HERE, and customize it with a monogram from our ETSY store. In the back of my binder I keep all my business cards for quick reference.  You can purchase the business card holders HERE if you need them.

You can purchase this set for the low price of $2.99 by clicking the button below. These are super useful, and should keep you organized all year long. Keep in mind you can print them as many times as you like! Printer ink does get expensive, so these use very little ink but still keep you organized.

  1. Hi Amy. These are great ideas. I like the fresh and crisp design, but my pages would be all scribbled and scrunched by the third day of the month ha ha! Fun post. Thanks for sharing.

  2. Love, love love this!!! I have been in the process of putting my planner together this week so this was perfect timing. I would love to print your menu planner but when I open it, the holiday menu planner comes up. Is there any chance we can print your regular menu planner? Thanks so much for doing this, I love getting organized!

  3. Awesome! Thanks so much for putting this together for us. I am thrilled to be getting so organized!
