Thanksgiving is right around the corner, and usually by now I would be selecting recipes and making shopping lists but this year, I am getting off easy. No, I am not going elsewhere just having a smaller celebration then usual, and keeping it simple. But, Christy has a big celebration going in Tennessee this year so I can’t wait to see what she does.
Since I am not doing the whole “do” this year, I thought I would re-post my table from last year. You can read that post HERE. Our blog was young then so most reader’s probably haven’t seen it. {Chris Neese from Celebration’s at Home actually featured my tablescape on her Facebook page on Thanksgiving, so nice of her!} And, I added a few more pictures to the mix here for those who have seen it.
I made the place cards and the “Give Thanks” cards to decorate the placesettings by printing on craft paper and then writing over it with a colored sharpie. I am attaching the “Give Thanks” cards as a printable at the end if you would like to make them for yourself.
Hydrangeas from my garden; I love that color they get in the Fall.
Look familiar? This candleabra is always in use at one of my parties, one way or another!
A printable sign I made, printed on ivory card stock, then backed with brown paper and framed.
Happy Thanksgiving!
Here are the “Give Thanks” cards table cards I added to the center of each placesetting. Simply print them out and use them as is, or if you use a darker paper you can write over the “Thanks” in the color you prefer. You could also have guests write on these what they are thankful for, or make a “Thankful” Tree out of them…the ideas are endless!
Thanks for stopping by!
